About This Blog...

I want to know.  That sums it up.  I have this insatiable curiosity to know the unknown.  When I was a little boy, I used to take things apart because I wanted to know how they worked.  I wasn't always good at putting things back together.  However, it didn't stop me from exploring the mystery of how things worked, what made them tick.  I guess you could say that is where my "journey" began with becoming a Christian.

I enjoy reading the Bible for many reasons.  One of which feeds into my desire to know more.  I will start off by saying : "I AM A BELIEVER!"  But what does that really mean?  If you're not a believer, does it mean you can't be my friend?  Does it mean that we have nothing in common?  How about this one; does not being a "Believer" make you any better or worse than me? No, No, & No... at least that is my take.

Being a "Believer" means that I hold fast to principles that I have defined as things necessary for me to have an existence beyond this one. (That's really "wordy" I know) It means that I have defined something that existed before me. I am satisfied that those answers which help me define this belief system are true and worthy of my heart and mind.  I call my system "Christianity."  I accept the existence of God as a Father.  I accept Jesus as the "Son of God."  I accept that there is a "Spirit" of God.

Now before my fellow believers think that I am making too little of Christianity or of The Trinity, I must say this.  I don't just accept this "system" to be true, I BELIEVE that this system is valuable, it is sacred, it is necessary.  However, this first blog is not about me.  It is about the reader.  What I really want to know is what is it that you believe?  Do you believe in God?  A Father, A Son, A Divine Spirit?  Do you believe in some other power?  Or do you believe in chance, or even nothing at all.

Sound off!  I would love to hear what you think!
