"A New Command?"

based on Exodus 20    Matthew 22   John 13   Leviticus 19    Deuteronomy 6

Exodus tells us of the story of Moses receiving the 10 Commandments from God.  The Law of God.

The Pharisee's questioned Jesus about that very law.  Thinking to trick Him, they asked Jesus about that very law.  "What is the greatest of the Commandments?"

"Love the Lord, your God, with all of your heart, with all of your soul, and with all of your mind.  This is the first great commandment"

In the book of John, Jesus tells His disciples, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another as I have loved you."

The Bible is very clear on what the Law of God is.  Did Jesus introduce something new?  Did he create a new covenant, giving termination to the original?

Join us this week at The Journey as we take an in depth look into the new commandment that Jesus shared with his disciples to see how they match up to the original 10 Commandments given to Moses on Mt. Sinai.  We will also dig a bit deeper than skin deep in our investigation into the relativity of these commandments in out modern everyday life.
